Price information belongs
on the product page
Not in the terms and not in the footer. That is exactly why a check that only opens the home page sees none of it.
Four details at the actual offer
They can only be judged where a price is shown. A unit price in the footer is not one, and a shipping page does not replace the detail at the item.
| What | EU reference |
|---|---|
| Price including VAT The final price with all taxes. A small business that may not charge VAT and says so meets the rule and needs no VAT note. | Art. 2(a) Directive 98/6/EC |
| Unit price per quantity For goods sold by volume, weight, length or area. If the item name states a quantity, the question is due. | Art. 3(1) Directive 98/6/EC |
| Shipping costs and delivery time Before the order, not only in the cart. | Art. 6(1)(e) and (g) Directive 2011/83/EU |
| 30-day lowest price for discounts A struck-through price has to refer to the lowest price of the last 30 days. The struck price alone does not say what it refers to. | Art. 6a Directive 98/6/EC |
What a scan shows
It opens real product pages and reads the price block instead of searching the footer. The report names every page where a detail is missing, and where to add it in your shop system. On the same pages it also checks accessibility.
